Başakşehir manager Abdullah Avcı has heaped praise on former Beşiktaş manager Slaven Bilic.
Avcı underlined that Bilic continuously developed Beşiktaş and that the Black Eagles were on the right path under his command.
“Beşiktaş developed continuously for two seasons they were always improving,” Avcı told the Milliyet in an interview with Levent Kalkan.
“Beşiktaş along with Başakşehir were tactically the best organised sides in the league and he may not have got what he deserved in silverware but he has setup a side that the new manager can easily take to new heights.
“It is not easy playing every game away from home he had no home advantage this season and anyone will tell you how tough that can be.”

Bilic has become the bookmakers favourite to take over as the next West Ham manager following the resignation of Sam Allardyce.
The former Croatian national team manager joined Beşiktaş in 2013 and resigned last week. The Istanbul giants were unable to win silverware under Bilic but they were involved in an impressive European run this season.
The Black Eagles were undefeated against English opposition in the Europe this season – drawing against Arsenal while beating Tottenham and Liverpool.
Beşiktaş finished the league in third place and booked a place in next seasons Europa League group stage.
