Arda Turan will not spend the next five months on loan despite being unable to to make his Barcelona debut until January 2016.
The Catalan giants boss Luis Enrique has no intention of loaning out their new €41 million signing according to Goal.
“They cannot play until January and that does not favour us, but I want the new transfers around until then,” Enrique stated at a pre-season press conference in the USA.
“It is not being contemplated nor will it be contemplated to loan out Arda Turan.”
The news comes amid a statement from the club’s president Josep Maria Bartomeu saying Arda can leave on loan.
“This is a possibility but the final decision must be made by coach Luis Enrique and it must be a purely technical decision,” Bartomeu told RAC 1.
Turan signed for Barcelona on a £24 million transfer from Atletico Madrid last week despite the La Liga champions still serving a transfer ban until January.
The Express have linked Liverpool and Tottenham as being interested in a loan move.
Turan is currently the most expensive La Liga transfer of the summer after joining Barcelona on a £24 million move from Atletico Madrid.
