Bayer Leverkusen star Hakan Çalhanoğlu has revealed that he will be staying in Germany next season.
The Turkish international has been closely linked with moves to Sunderland and Arsenal after an impressive season according to the Metro.
The 21-year-old has established himself as a set-piece specialist over the past few seasons.
The Turkish international is regarded as being one of the best set-piece specialists around and has received rave reviews from Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola who said: “Çalhanoğlu is one of the best free-kick takers in the Bundesliga.”
Çalhanoğlu scored the highest number of free-kick goals – in the top five leagues in Europe – Premier League, Bundesliga, La Liga, Serie A, Ligue 1 – last season.
The 21-year-old has revealed that La Liga giants Barcelona and Real Madrid are also interested in him.
“It is great that Barcelona and Real Madrid are interest of course it makes me proud to be linked with these clubs but that is for my agent to look into let us see what happens,” Çalhanoğlu told DHA.
Çalhanoğlu joined Bayer on a €15 million transfer last season and has four-years left on his contract.
