The newly appointed West Ham United manager has set his sights on sighing his former player Veli Kavlak according to SporX.
The Croatian manager has held early talks with the Austrian international and has instructed the club to establish contact with Besiktas.
West Ham have been busy in the transfer market this summer having already signed Dimitri Payet, Angelo Ogobonna, Pedro Obiang, Stephen Hendrie and Carl Jenkinson.
Kavlak played under Bilic during the 46-year-old’s two-year spell at Besiktas. The hard working midfielder was born in Austria but is also a Turkish citizen through his parents.
The 25-year-old joined Beşiktaş for £600,000 from Rapid Vienna in 2011 and has eight goals and 14 assists in 144 appearances for the Black Eagles.
Besiktas will compete in the Europa League this season after finishing the Turkish Super Lig in third place behind Fenerbahce and Galatasaray.
