Barcelona star Arda Turan has been banned from playing for his new club due to the FIFA transfer restrictions currently in place but he has been able to showcase his talent for the Turkish national team.
Turan could not hide his delight following the Iceland game and finding out that Turkey had booked an automatic place in the tournament set to played in France this summer and UEFA selected his picture celebrating as the image of the qualification round on their official website.
Turkey had a 2.7 percent chance of direct qualification going into the Czech Republic game in Euro 2016 Group A.
The Crescent-Stars did however, manage to win three consecutive games starting with a 3-0 win over the Dutch followed by a 2-0 victory over the Czech Republic and a 1-0 triumph over Iceland to book a direct place in Euro 2016.
Barcelona are currently on the verge of taking FIFA to CAS if they attempt to block the registration of 27-year-old.
The reigning La Liga champions are attempting to replace Turan with Rafinha who picked up a long term injury.
According to Spanish Football Federation regulation La Liga clubs can replace players with a long term injury with an unregistered player.
