Liverpool held Tottenham to a goalless draw at White Hard Lane in Jurgen Klopp’s first game in charge of the Reds.
The Reds midfielder-come-defender got to start in his preferred midfield role in his first game under the stewardship of Klopp.
Can featured as a holding midfielder in Klopp’s 4-2-3-1 and put in a decent defensive performance but his passing was poor.
The 21-year-old achieved just a 73.1 percent pass accuracy during the game.
The Reds managed to keep their first clean in nine games in what was a scrappy encounter.
Klopp was appointed as Brendan Rodgers replacement during the two-week international break and tokk take charge of his first league game against Spurs.
