Jason Denayer has managed to establish himself as a first-team regular in the Galatasaray side after joining from Manchester City on loan over the summer.
Galatasaray are interested in extending his stay but director of football Cenk Ergün revealed that it will cost the club £30 million to activate his release clause.
“It will not be easy to transfer Jason we have a £30 million release clause which we would struggle to match under the current circumstances,” Ergün told Fanatik.
Denayer has provided one assist in five appearances in all competitions for Galatasaray and has already become a fan favourite.
The 21-year-old defender has found himself playing in an unfamiliar role of a right-back but has managed to keep Lions veteran full-back Sabri Sarıoğlu out of the team.
Denayer has had no trouble settling into life in Turkey in fact he has already developed a taste for one of the most popular drinks in the country; tea or çay (chai) as the locals call it.
The young defender shared an Instagram post having a traditional glass of team alongside the caption: “çay… #do#you#think#there#is#better?#i#dont#think#so.”
