Galatasaray have made offered the former Tottenham Hotspurs striker Emmanuel Adebayor a contract according to the Arca news agency.
Arca state that the Istanbul Giants have offered Adebayor a two year deal at £1.8 million per season. Adebayor is currently a free agent after being released by Spurs but has yet to find a new club.
Galatasaray are in the market for a striker as the Lions currently lack depth upfront. Adebayor would be able to play Champions League football should he join the Istanbul giants.
The experienced striker could however, face competition from newly promoted Antalyaspor who signed Samuel Eto’o over the summer.
The Scorpions are doing well in the league but Galatasaray are likely to be the more attractive choice considering guaranteed European football and the likelihood of being involved in the title race this season.
