Galatasaray were defeated 2-1 by Benfica at the Estadio da Luz stadium in the Champions League.
The first half ended in a goalless draw but Benfica made the most out of some sloppy Galatasaray defending at the start of the second half when Jonas scored from a goalmouth scramble.
Former Arsenal striker Lukas Podolski equalised just minutes later for his second goal against Benfica in his last two games against the Portuguese giants.
Galatasaray conceded form an almost identical position to the first goal when Luisao scored from yet another goal mouth scramble.
The victory moved Benfica into first place in Group C on 9 points while Galatasaray remain on four points after four games.
