Arsenal star Mesut Ozil has stated that he aim’s to ‘score more goals this season than in the last two’.
The 27-year-old has hit a rich vein of form which includes goals against Manchester United and Bayern Munich as well as providing assists in six consecutive Premier League games.
“I’m looking forward to giving assists or scoring goals,” Özil told Arsenal.com
“My aim is to score more goals this season than in the last two. I think I’m on a good path and will achieve that.”
The World Cup winner currently has the most assists in the top five European leagues – England, France, Germany, Italy and Spain. Özil has provided 10 assists in 11 league games for the Gunners this season and has two goals in all competitions.
The 27-year-old has provided assists in six consecutive games a Premier League record and has created the highest number of chances in the current Arsenal team.
