Mustafa Akçay has resigned from his position as manager of Akhisar.

Akhisar press officer İbrahim Evren Acar released a statement on the official Akhisar website confirming the departure.

The statement read: “We have agreed to part ways with Mustafa Reşit Akçay. We want to wish our former manager all the best in the future and want to thank Mustafa and his team for their work. We will reveal our new manager within the next week.”

Akhisar went nine games without a single win culminating with their first home loss of the season against Rizespor.

Akçay resigned following Akhisar’s humiliating 4-0 loss against relegation battling Rizespor.
