Arda Turan came off the bench to feature in Barcelona’s 6-0 victory over Atletico Bilbao in the La Liga.
The 27-year-old started on the bench despite making an impressive start to his career at the Catalan giants.
Turan came on for Lionel Messi after half-time and played in a more attacking role than in his previous appearances for Barcelona.
The visitors were down to ten men after goalkeeper Iraizoz was sent off. Messi and Neymar gave Barcelona a 2-0 lead going into the break. A Suarez hat-trick and a goal from Rakitic secured all three points for the home side.
Turan provided an assist for Suarez’s second goal in the 67th minute with a pinpoint cross into the box.
The Turkish international has started in the reigning La Liga champions previous last three games and head coach Luis Enrique has described him as being someone with potential to be a key player in his side.
The Turkish international had to wait six months before playing his first game for Barcelona due to the FIFA transfer ban imposed on the club
