Mesut Özil has lifted the lid on Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger’s tactics ahead of tonights Bayern Munich clash in the UEFA Champions League.
The 27-year-old stated that the Gunners will look to hit Bayern on the counter, much like they did when they defeated the Bundesliga champions a fortnight ago.
“Our goal has to be to counter against them and make sure that we take our chances,” Özil told Arsenal Player.
“Then we’ll have a good chance against them. We knew that they would have possession and our aim was to counter against them.”
The Gunners beat Bayern 2-0 at the Emirates a fortnight ago with Mesut Özil getting his name on the scoresheet for just the second time this season.
Özil is expected to start again but Arsenal have an extensive injury list with Walcott, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Arteta, Ramsey, Ospina, Wilshere, Welbeck and Bellerin all out.
Bayern meanwhile are missing Götze and Rode while Badstuber and Bernat are both doubts leading up to the game.
