Arsenal take on bitter rivals Tottenham in the north London derby today hoping to remain first in the Premier League.
The Gunners could overtake Manchester City who were on level points separated by goal difference with a draw should the Citizens fail to beat Aston Villa.
Mesut Özil will start for the Gunners following a great run of form setting up nine goals in his last 10 games. In fact the World Cup winner has more assists than any other player in Europe’s top five leagues – England, France, Germany, Italy Spain.
The 27-year-old has also been creating more chances on average than any other player in the league (4.7).
The north London based side will be without Hector Bellerin who is out injured as is Theo Walcott which could see Joel Campbell return to the starting lineup again.
Arsenal won the first north London derby of the season after beating Spurs 2-1 at White Hart Lane in the third-round League Cup clash back in September. The last time Tottenham beat Arsenal away was back in 1993.
