The versatile attacking midfielder can play behind the striker, on the left or on the right.
Turan has put on some of his best performances for Barcelona playing on the left in Neymar’s position.
The Turkish international can also play in central midfield but he is at his best in an attacking role.
This is how the current Arsenal team could look with Turan in the side.
Turan would provide an attacking threat down the left flank. The 30-year-old has wonderful technical ability, is not afraid to take on opposition defenders and has an eye for goal. The Barcelona man has 13 goals and seven assists this season – only Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez have setup as many goals.
The hardworking attacking midfielder also has a defensive element to his game which was installed in him by Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone.
Turan would also offer leadership qualities currently only displayed in Alexis Sanchez.
The Gunners face an uncertain future with regards to whether star duo Ozil and Sanchez will stay or leave.
If both do end up heading for a summer exit this is how the current Arsenal side could look.
The beauty of Turan in this current Arsenal side is that it gives Wenger the option of deploying a top quality player in any attacking midfield position.
The Turkish international can play behind Giroud, on the left or on the right.
