Aston Villa have joined Galatasaray in the hunt to sign the former Tottenham Hotspur’s striker Emmanuel Adebayor according to Tuttomercato web.
The report states that Villa have held discussions with Adebayor over a potential move.
Galatasaray have also made offered the former Tottenham Hotspurs striker Adebayor a contract according to the Arca news agency.
The Lion’s are in the market for a striker as the Lions currently lack depth upfront. Adebayor would be able to play Champions League football should he join the Istanbul giants.
As the 31-year-old striker was still registered as a Spurs player when the summer transfer window closed, he cannot join another Premier League team until the new year meaning Villa would have to wait until January to sign him.
Galatasaray on the other-hand can sign Adebayor to immediate effect but will only be able to register him in January.
