Babel admits he still supports Liverpool [divider]
Kasımpaşa forward Ryan Babel has admitted that he is a Liverpool supporter ahead of the Reds Europa League Round of 32 second leg clash against Beşiktaş.
The former Liverpool player scored a total of 22 goals in 146 appearances for the club between 2007-11.
Liverpool may find themselves under a lot of pressure from 70,000 home fans but they can count on one extra supporter fighting their corner.
“I am very excited about attending the game,” Babel told Liverpoolfc.com.
“Since I left Liverpool, I have always been a fan and followed the team over the years.
“Now I live here in Istanbul, the game is very close to home so I felt the chance to watch them live was one I couldn’t miss.”
