Reigning La Liga champions Barcelona returned to winning ways with a 4-0 win over Deportivo at the Camp Nou.
Turkish international star Arda Turan started for Barca playing as an attacking winger in the absence of Lionel Messi – who came off the bench to score his first goal since recovering from injury.
Turan played the full 90 minutes putting in a hard working display and posing Deportivo problems without providing an assist or getting on the scoresheet himself.
We took a look at how Barcelona fans reacted to his display on social media.
Turan’s team-mates were involved in a bizarre ritual before the game, tapping and rubbing his head during a training session.

Arda Turan took on his former Galatasaray teammate Emre Colak yesterday only this time they were playing for opposing sides.

Turan and Colak had a friendly hug before the game but Barcelona took no prisoners on the pitch and put four past their opponents.

Turan has been in impressive form this season but his display against Deportivo was not exactly his finest and he was called out by a number of fans on twitter.
I watched before Barça against Deportivo. I was disappointed by Arda Turan. Did the strict minimum job. Took 0 risk.

The Turkish international was criticised for his work rate and body language at times last season. Turan has been in far better form recently but there were signs of his bad habits staring to creep back in against Deportivo.
Arda Turan came to Barcelona to retire. Strolling around the pitch like he's on vacation. Barcelona 1-0 Deportivo
