Beşiktaş manager Slaven Bilic has stated that the team-fan relations at the club are unique in world football.
“Beşiktaş is a lifestyle, when you arrive here you realise it is more than just a club and it is an honour to be part of that,” Bilic told Beşiktaş Magazine.
Bilic also underlined that Beşiktaş fans have a very close bond with the club, he described it as being a symbiotic relationship.
“The team have such a passionate following, the relationship between the club and fans benefits both parties involved, it is unique, you will rarely see something like this in world football,” he added.
The former Croatia national team head coach took over the club last season.
Bilic enjoyed an impressive Europa League run, remaining unbeaten against English opposition in European competition this season.
The Black Eagles reached the quarter-finals of the competition after knocking Liverpool out of the Round of 32.
The Turkish giants were eventually eliminated from the competition by Club Brugge 5-2 on aggregate.
Beşiktaş are currently first in the Süper Lig and take on sixth placed Trabzonspor next at the Avni Aker stadium.
