‘We can’t afford him’ – Man United given transfer boost in pursuit of 16-goal Brazilian midfielder

Besiktas board member Ahmet Urkmezgul has revealed that Anderson Talisca is out of their price range.

Talisca does have the option to stay on loan for an additional season at Besiktas.

The 23-year-old is on loan from Benfica but does have a £21 million release clause.

“We want Talisca to stay, we will do everything we can to convince him,” Urkmezgil was quoted as saying by Turkish football.

“But we can’t transfer him on a permanent deal, we can’t afford him.”

The latest revelations has given Man United a transfer boost in their pursuit of the Brazilian attacking midfielder.

Turkish-Football have run a series of stories regarding United scouting Talisca.

Radyospor host Levent Umut Erol meanwhile has claimed that United have actually made an offer directly to Benfica.

Turkish football reporter Gokhan Dinc also made similar claims on Turkish television channel 24.

Talisca has been in great form this season scoring a career high 16 goals – and providing four assists.

The Black Eagles are expected to defend the league title this season.

Talisca has a wealth of Champions League experience and two Portuguese league titles under his belt.
