Celtic will respect former Manchester United duo Robin van Persie and Luis Nani but are not frightened of the Fenerbahçe stars according to Hoops midfielder Kris Commons.
Fenerbahçe take on Celtic at Parkhead tomorrow in their second Europa League group stage game of the campaign.
“They have been at the top of their game for a long, long period of time and proved they are world-class players so I regard them very highly,” Commons told the Daily Record.
“We’ve seen footage of them in the last couple of days and they’ve still got the business.”
Commons has faced both Van Persie as well as Nani in the past and is expected to start tomorrow.
Van Persie was of course left on the bench for the Yellow Canaries last two games but scored in the 2-1 win over Bursaspor and the 3-2 defeat against Beşiktaş in the Istanbul derby.
Nani and Van Persie are almost certain to start for Fenerbahçe as head coach Vitor Pereira will pick his strongest side having lost the first group game 3-1 against Molde.
The Portuguese international has been one of the Canaries best performing players this season scoring four times and providing two assists.
The Istanbul giants are currently second in the Turkish Super League on goal difference.
