Palace recently completed the signing of Yohan Cabaye and have now set their sights on a top-class striker.
Beşiktaş press officer Metin Albayrak sparked further speculation when he stated that the club were on the verge of signing a striker.
“A defender and striker could join us early, it could be any time now our transfer and foreign relations chief Erdal Torunoğulları is currently working on it,” he was quoted as saying by NTV Spor.
Beşiktaş are looking to replace last seasons top scorer for the club Demba Ba who was sold to Shanghai Shenhua for a €13 million fee last month.
The Black Eagles would be able to offer Remy regular first team football and a lucrative salary.
