Liverpool legend Mark Lawrenson has stated that Emre Can along with Adam Lallana, Joe Allen and Dejan Lovren all have points to prove following their transfers to the Reds.
“Others, too, will be thinking this could be great for them. Adam Lallana, Emre Can, Joe Allen, even Dejan Lovren – they’ll all have points to prove,”
Brendan Rogers was recently sacked as Liverpool manager and Germany coach Jurgen Klopp was recently appointed as his replacement.
Klopp has signed a three-year deal worth £15 million which works out at £5 million per-season but he could earn up to £7 million with bonuses included.
Can will be coached by a manager other than Rodgers for the first time in his Liverpool career but he did state that Klopp is a manager who has proven himself in a recent interview.
The 21-year-old is currently on international duty with the Germany national team and is one of three players of Turkish origin in the side – the others being Mesut Özil and İlkay Gündoğan.
