Jurgen Klopp has only been in charge of Liverpool for a week but that has not stopped Emre Can from waxing lyrical about his new boss.
Can has come out in full support of his new boss. Perhaps he is trying to impress him or maybe we are just being cynical but whatever the case the 21-year-old had believes Klopp is will bring out the best in him.
“He is always keen to help and I find that very positive. I like the way he works and it suits me down to the ground,” Can was quoted as saying by the Liverpool Echo.
Can also stated that he has enjoyed training under Klopp and that he will improve under the stewardship of the German coach.
“I definitely enjoy working with a coach like that. He likes to come onto the pitch in training and show you how you can do something better,” he added.
The Germany international of Turkish origin managed to keep his place in the team in Klopp’s first game in charge of the Reds against Tottenham on the weekend.
Can was played in his preferred midfield role as opposed to spending most of last season as a defender under former head coach Brendan Rodgers.
Rodgers was sacked by Liverpool before the international break following the 1-1 draw against Everton in the Merseyside derby and replaced by Klopp shortly after.
