Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson is a doubt for this weekend’s Premier League clash against Arsenal according to the Guardian.
Henderson has been suffering with a foot injury since the start of the season and required painkilling injections to start on Monday against Bournemouth.
Can replaced Henderson in the second half of Liverpool’s 1-0 win over the newly promoted side and could find himself in the starting line-up this weekend against Arsenal.
If the 21-year-old is to start it will be in his favoured midfield position. Can spent the majority of last season in a back three or at right back despite being signed as a midfielder from Bayer Leverkusen.
The 21-year-old received a rating of 6.73 from Whoscored. The Germany u21 international made four tackles after coming off the bench. Can also maintained a passing accuracy of 81%. Christian Benteke scored the games only goal with a strike from inside the area.
