Liverpool take on bitter-rivals Everton in the Merseyside derby at Goodison Park in the Premier League today.
Reds boss Brendan Rodgers has switched to a three-back formation that served him well last season with Martin Skrtel, Sakho and Emre Can all having been assigned a role in the defence.
Can has however, played most of the current season as a midfielder. The young defender-come-midfielder is familiar with the role having played as a back-three and as a full-back for most of last season and recently for the Germany national team.
The Toffees are currently in 7th place three sports above their cross-city rivals however, they have won just once in their last 17 derby matches and the last time the Reds lost at Goodison Park was back in 2010.
