Gençlerbirliği will return stronger after winter break says Buz [divider]

Gençlerbirliği manager Irfan Buz praised his sides performance since being appointed head coach on September 24 2014.

“We managed to secure 22 points over the first half of the season,” Buz said.

“When I took charge we were on just 4 points, we worked hard and reaped the rewards with 18 points. I had to improve the defence so we was labeled a defensive side but this was just a process, we are much more effective in the final third now and our young players are starting to settle.” 

Buz refrained from revealing his sides targets for the second half of the season but underlined that they would return stronger.

“Obviously our goal is to keep winning but we will reveal our goals at a later date,” Buz said.

“The second half of the season will not be easy but we will be ready and better prepared.”

Gençlerbirliği are currently in eight place on 22 points.
