Liverpool forward returns to light training following injury lay off

Fenerbahce forward Lazar Markovic has returned to light training following a long spell on the sidelines.

The Serbia international took part in light training today at the Can Bartu training facility but is unavailable for this weekends clash.

Markovic is currently on a season long loan at Fenerbahce from Liverpool. The 22-year-old is expected to return to Anfield at the end of the season.

The Serbia international has been ruled out of action until the end of the season with a hamstring injury and now missed a total of 181 days of football.

Markovic has scored just twice and provided three assists in 20 games for the Canaries. The pacy forward had established himself as a first team regular until his most recent hamstring injury.

Fenerbahce take on Gaziantepspor in the Turkish Super Lig this weekend as they look to keep their title hopes alive.
