Liverpool news: Marco Grujic drops hint regarding Lucas Leiva to Goal of the Season winner
Serbia international midfielder Marco Grujic had a message for Emre Can following his Goal of the Season award on Tuesday.
Can picked up the gong at the Liverpool FC award show in recognition of his incredible over-head kick goal against Watford FC.
The 23-year-old met Lucas Leiva’s cross into the box with a perfectly executed bicycle-kick which ended up in the top corner.
As Can was announced as the Goal of the Season winner his teammate Grujic relayed a special message to him.
“Hey, say thanks to little Lucas!” shouted Grujic. The comment was met with the grin of teammate Philippe Coutinho.

Emre Can has enjoyed an extended run in the Liverpool starting eleven following an injury to Jordan Henderson. The 23-year-old has repaid his managers faith with a string of impressive performances.
However, Can’s Liverpool future still remains in doubt. The former Bayer Leverkusen man will have just 12 months remaining on his contract this summer.
