Liverpool’s young striker Samed Yeşil has said that he is looking forward to the upcoming season.
The former Bayer Leverkusen man scored three goals in his last two appearances for Liverpool U21’s during pre-season and could break into the first team this season.
Yeşil posted a picture on Instagram of himself during last weekend’s game along with the caption, “Good first Week of pre season in Ireland, very happy to score 3 Goals in 2 Games but most importantly to be injury free. Looking forward to the Season ahead !!”
The 21-year-old who scored twice during the Red’s 6-0 win over Wateford United came off the bench to double Liverpool’s lead over the Irish side.
Turkish newspaper HaberTurk, reported that that Liverpool are open to the idea of allowing Yeşil to leave on loan. The young striker missed most of last season with a double cruciate ligament injury but did make a full recovery towards the end of the league campaign.
