Fenerbahçe confirmed that they are in official talks with Van Persie on the Istanbul stock exchange yesterday.
Süper Lig clubs generally release a statement regarding talks as a legal formality before announcing the formal completion of the transfer.
The Yellow Canaries did the same with the Nani transfer before he arrived in Istanbul last Sunday and signed a three-year deal the following day.
Van Persie is expected to arrive in Turkey on Sunday and be unveiled in an official signing ceremony held at the Şükrü Saracoğlu stadium.
The Netherlands international is likely to become the highest paid player in the Yellow Canaries squad.
The Turkish giants are currently managed by Vitor Pereira and finished last season as runners-up. Fenerbahçe will have to qualify through the play-off stages to make the Champions League group stages.
