Robin van Persie fan Louis Diamond has been reunited with his hero Robin van Persie following Fenerbahce’s 2-0 victory over.
The Netherlands international striker met with Louis live on air during LigTV’s post match show.
Fenerbahçe fans started an online campaign to raise $2000 so that the Diamond family can travel to Istanbul and watch Robin Van Persie play for his new club back in July.
The club responded to the campaign by reportedly inviting the family to Istanbul for Fenerbahçe’s opening game of the season against Eskişehirspor on Friday 14 August according to the Hürriyet.
Louis Diamond became an internet sensation when a clip of the young United fan crying over the transfer of Van Persie was confirmed.
Van Persie completed his move from United to Fenerbahçe last month and signed a three-year deal in-front of 18,000 fans at the Şükrü Saracoğlu stadium.
The Dutch star became the second United player to join the Yellow Canaries within the space of a week following the transfer of Luis Nani.
