Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand wished his former teammates Robin Van Persie and Nani good luck in Turkey following both players transferring to Fenerbahçe.
Ferdinand coined a new nickname for Nani last week – Naan bread – and has been at it again this time crafting a moniker for Van Persie.
The Former United defender calls Van Persie ‘Van Pizzle’ in his page long Facebook post about the star striker.
The statement read: “Two players have left Manchester United this week for Fenerbahce – they both leave being a large part of the clubs recent success. Considering the prices being paid elsewhere, the club will deem both signings as a success.
Good luck Van Pizzle!!”
Nani, Van Persie and Ferdinand were all part of the United side that made history in 2013 winning the Premier League for a record 20th time.
Van Persie had signed the same season and wore the number 20 shirt for the Red Devils.
Nani and Van Persie both joined Fenerbahçe on three-year deals over the past week. The former United stars have already started pre-season training with their new team as they prepare for the key Champions League play-off games later this month.
