The Şükrü Saracoğlu opened several stands at the Şükrü Saracoğlu stadium ahead of Robin Van Persie‘s signing ceremony.
The Dutch star will complete his move from Manchester United to Fenerbahçe today.
Thousands of Fenerbahçe fans filled every allocated seat in the stadium an hour before Van Persie stepped onto the pitch.
The 31-year-old striker will meet the fans and officially sign his three-year deal on the pitch before moving to the press room to answer questions from reporters.
The Netherlands international arrived at the Sabiha Gökçen airport on a private jet provided by Fenerbahçe on Sunday.
Fenerbahçe have already made seven transfers this season including former United winger Nani. The 28-year-old joined on a three-year deal for a £4.3 million transfer fee last Monday and enjoyed a similar reception.
The Yellow Canaries are currently managed by Portuguese manager Vitor Pereira and finished last season as runners-up. The Istanbul giants will enter the Champions League at the playoff stages.
