Fenerbahçe winger Lazar Markovic started his second consecutive game after recovering from an injury that saw him sidelined for three weeks following the 3-2 Istanbul derby defeat against Beşiktaş.
Markovic started on the right wing but it was not his bursting forward runs which caught the attention but his defensive work.
The 21-year-old put in an impressive defensive shift making the highest number of tackles in the Yellow Canaries midfield (4).
Markovic worked tirelessly on the wing and played until the 83rd minute. The Serbian international is expected to feature against Galatasaray in the Intercontinental derby on Sunday.
There had been rumours that Markovic would be returning to Liverpool over the winter transfer window but a source close to Fenerbahçe confirmed to Turkish-football.com that he would be staying until at least the end of the season.
