Aldridge underlined that Can has the potential to become one of the Liverpool greats in the future.
“He’s been a big positive for me this season. Can could become a big, big player for us in years to come,” he added.
The 21-year-old joined the Reds as a central midfielder from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer.
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has however, played Can mainly as a central defender in back-three for most of the season.
Rodgers has recently deployed Can in a right-back role but the former Bayer man could move back into midfield next season with the departure of captain Steven Gerrard.
Can started at right-back again again on the weekend against Chelsea.
The 21-year-old completed the games highest number of tackles (7) and interceptions (4).
Can also made 44 passes at a 90 percent accuracy and completed two key passes.
Liverpool are currently fifth in the table, six points behind Manchester United in fourth with just two matches left to play.
