Argentinian giants River Plate made a bid for Galatasaray goalkeeper Fernando Muslera but the Uruguayan international revealed that he turned down the offer.
Muslera told Fanatik: “It is an honour to get an offer from River they spoke with my agent but I have a contract with Galatasaray until 2018.”
Tottenham have also been linked with Muslera since the beginning of the season and Galatasaray could be forced to sell due to financial difficulties.
The Lions have been banned from European competition next season due to failing to meet Financial Fair Play regulations.
The Istanbul giants have announced that they will consider offers for their star players over the summer transfer window.
Muslera was also linked with a move to Manchester Untied over the summer before David de Gea signed a contract extension.
The 29-year-old played a key role in Galatasaray winning the league for a record 20th time last season and earning the right to wear a fourth star – the Lions also won the double for a record sixth time.
Muslera has a wealth of European and international experience with 77 caps for Uruguay and also won the Copa America with the South American giants.
