Russian internet company set to sponsor Fenerbahce shirts

Russian internet search engine Yandex is set to become Fenerbahçe’s shirt sponsor for the 2015-16 season according to Fanatik.

The financial details of the agreement have yet to be disclosed.

Yandex has built close ties with the Süper Lig over recent years creating specific browsers for clubs like Beşiktaş, Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray.

Yandex is a Russian Internet company which operates the largest search engine in Russia with an estimated 60 percent market share in that country.

Fenerbahçe will also have their shirts sponsored by Turkish Airlines in European games this season.

The Yellow Canaries were knocked out of the Champions League preliminary play-off stages against Shakhtar Donetsk 3-0 on aggregate.

The Istanbul giants will now enter the Europa League play-off stages to book a place in the group stages of the competition.

Fenerbahçe have attracted advertisers following the transfers of high profile names including Manchester United duo Robin van Persie and Luis Nani.
