‘Sad to see you go’ – West Ham fans react and express regret at Sofiane Feghouli departure following goodbye message
Algeria international midfielder Sofiane Feghouli completed his move to Galatasaray earlier today.
The Istanbul based club held a contract signing ceremony in front of the press. Galatasaray have also released financial details on the transfer.
Feghouli – who joined West Ham last summer – took to social media to bid farewell to the Hammers fans.
The former Valencia star scored four goals during his spell at West Ham. Feghouli failed to secure a place in Slaven Bilic’s starting lineup and made just 11 Premier League starts last season.
Feghouli thanked West Ham fans for their support and wished their club well for the season ahead.
Thank you West Ham fans for the support this season and good luck everyone for the future. Always ⚒@WestHamUtd

According to the Premier League broadcaster SkySports, the Hammers offloaded Feghouli in order to balance the books. West Ham have signed Joe Hart, Javier Hernandez, Pablo Zabaleta, Marko Arnautovic and Sead Haksabanovic over the summer.
