Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy blocked sale of star midfielder this summer

Tottenham Hotspurs chairman Daniel Levy blocked sale of star midfielder Moussa Sissoko earlier this summer.

The France international was close to completing a loan move to the Turkish Super League club Trabzonspor.

The Turkish outlet Fotomac stated that Trabzonspor had tabled a £3.6 million per-season deal for Sissoko.

However, France Football have revealed that the Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy put a stop to the transfer.

Per the source, Sissoko’s agent was keen to move his client on this summer. The powerful midfielder struggled to cement a place in Tottenham’s starting line-up following his £30 million (BBC) arrival from Newcastle United.

However, Levy is only prepared to allow Sissoko to leave on a permanent deal, not on a season-long loan.

Trabzonspor are currently the only side who have made a concrete offer for the France international so far this summer. The Black Sea Storm are keen to sign Sissoko as part of their plans to win the league title for their 50th year anniversary.
