Liverpool target Kerem Demirbay put on another impressive display in the Champions League for Hoffenheim in their 3-3 draw against Lyon on Wednesday, in Germany on Match Day 3.
Demirbay setup the second goal for Hoffenheim with a pinpoint cross to the unmarked Andrej Kramaric who found the back of the net from close range.
The midfielder of Turkish origin now has two assists in two starts in the Champions League – he also set up the opening goal against Manchester City on Match Day 2.
Turkish-Football reported that Liverpool sent scouts to keep tabs on Demirbay against Lyon.
The 25-year-old created the highest number of chances (6) on the day and also impressed on the defensive end making the highest number of successful tackles (3).
Demirbay is represented by 11 Arena Sports who have Reds star duo Sadio Mane and Naby Keita among their clients.
Liverpool have a good relationship with Hoffenheim after signing Firmino from the club.
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp knows Demirbay from his time in Germany, in fact Demirbay played for his Borussia Dortmund second team.
Hoffenheim have set a £28 million release clause for Demirbay but he has had injury problems in the past. He ruptured his anterior ligament and partially tore the syndesmosis ligament in right ankle last season.
