Winner of goal of the season revealed – shortlist includes Emre Can
The winner of the SkySports 2016-17 goal of the season contest has been revealed.
Emre Can won the popular vote on the Monday Night Football show.
The 23-year-old scored the winning goal during the Reds 1-0 win over Watford FC.
Can made a run into the box following a cross from Lucas Levia however, few could have predicted what happened next.
The Germany international pulled off a perfectly executed over-head kick with the ball ending up in the top corner.

Can has racked up five goals this season along with three assists in 39 appearances.
Olivier Giroud’s back-heel goal came in second, Henrikh Mkhitaryan came in third, Andy Carroll fourth while Eden Hazard’s effort came fifth.
Can has enjoyed an extended run in Liverpool’s starting line-up in recent weeks. The Reds can secure their place in the UEFA Champions League if they win their last remaining fixture.
Jurgen Klopp’s side host Middlesbrough in their last game of the season over the weekend at Anfield.
