Bursaspor boss rules out move for Ronaldinho

Bursaspor manager Şenol Güneş has denied being interested in former Brazil international Ronaldinho.

Güneş ruled out making a bid for the former World Cup winner and rejected all rumours linking the Brazilian with the club.

“I have never heard or spoke about Ronaldinho, I do not want Ronaldinho, these are not the goals of big clubs,” Güneş was quoted as saying on Eurosport TR.

Bursaspor President Recep Bölükbaşı recently hinted that the club were interested in the 35-year-old attacking midfielder.

Ronaldinho currently plays at the Mexican club Queretaro. The 35-year-old’s contract with the Mexican club ends in June 2016.

The former Brazil international has three assists and three goals in 17 games for Queretaro this season.

Bursaspor are currently in 6th place in the Turkish Super Lig with 41 points in 25 games.

The Green Crocodiles have scored the highest number of goals in the league this season – 49.

Bursaspor are reported to be interested in signing a marquee player to coincide with the inauguration of their new stadium.
