Fiorentina lambast ‘greedy’ Prandelli [divider]
Fiorentina owner Della Valle has lambasted Galatasaray manager Cesare Prandelli, claiming he is obsessed with money.
“I have no time to be thinking about Galatasaray,” Della Valle was reported as saying by Fotomaç.
“If only they had asked me, I would have told them to use that money to make a kebab.
“Now they are disappointed and trying to get rid of him, it is too late they’ll certainly be waiting a long time for Prandelli to step down from his position.
“He is greedy, he will not leave until he has received the last penny of his salary.”
Prandelli surpassed Fulvio Bernardini to become the longest serving manager in Fiorentina history during his five year spell at the club.
The former Italian national team manager has got off to a poor Champions League campaign, Galatasaray are currently last in Group D with just one point.
The Lions have fared better in the Süper Lig, Prandelli guided Galatasaray to their best start to a league campaign since 2009.
Prandelli has however, been criticised for a couple of heavy defeats, Galatasaray have conceded four goals in a single game on four occasions already this season and have the second worst defensive record in the Champions League.
