Inter have joined the race for Arsenal striker Lukas Podsolski according to the Evening Standard.

Inter Milan transfer chief Piero Ausilio arrived in London and is reported to be lining up a move for the powerful striker.

The German international is reported to be unhappy at Arsenal due to a lack of playing time.

“I don’t say that I want to leave or that I leave in winter. I just think about my situation and my situation is unhappy,” Podolski was quoted as saying in the Guardian.

“It is like anyone who is not getting a chance at doing their job.”

Inter manager Roberto Mancini was also closely linked with Podolski last season while in charge of Galatasaray.

“Galatasaray were interested in me however, no direct contact was made nor was an offer put on the table. We’ll see what happens in January,” Podolski said.

Galatasaray have also been keeping tabs on Podolski but Arsenal’s asking price has proved a stumbling block in the past.
