Bursaspor midfielder Josue was full of praise for his teammate Fernandao in a recent article focusing on the Brazilian strikers goal scoring exploits.
“When I think of the word ‘goal’, the first person that comes to mind is Fernandão,” Josue told the official UEFA website.
Fernandao is currently the leading Süper Lig scorer with 13 goals from 18 games and has hit the back of the net 14 times in all competitions.
The 27-year-old striker was born in Rio de Janeiro and rose through the ranks at America FC before being loaned to several clubs including Brazilian giants Palmeiras.
Fernandao joined Paranaense in 2012 and scored 15 times in 34 league games on loan at Bahia in 2013.
The powerful striker joined Bursaspor on loan in the summer and has become one of the most sought after goal scorers in league with Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe both reported to be interested in a summer move.
Bursaspor have scored 39 goals in the league this season – the highest goal record in the league.
