Karaman – ‘We should have used our man advantage better’ [divider]
Rizespor manager Hikmet Karaman revealed that he was disappointed with his side not making better use of their man advantage against Bursaspor.
The game ended in a draw however, the Green Crocodiles played much of the second half with 10 men following Serdar Aziz being sent off.
“We have to be self-critical, we did not use the man advantage well, we should have put the opposition under more pressure,” Karaman told Lig Tv after the game.
Karaman underlined that his side must start improving their results if they want to stay in the Süper Lig next season.
“If we want to remain in this league we are going to all have to do better, it is that simple,” Karaman said.
The draw saw Rizespor remain in the relegation zone in 16th place on 18 points after 21 games.
Bursaspor remained in 5th place following the draw and extended their unbeaten run at home to eight games.
Rizespor take on fellow league strugglers Eskişehirspor next week.
