Liverpool fans will be looking forward to seeing Dirk Kuyt again says Jamie Carragher [divider]

Liverpool fans will be looking forward to the prospect of seeing Dirk Kuyt play again according to Jamie Carragher.

The former Reds defender selected Kuyt and fellow Fenerbahçe teammate Raul Meireles for his team in the Liverpool FC charity game set to be played on 29 March.

“Great players for the club just go. I’m thinking of Alonso, Kuyt, Torres, Suarez. They will be delighted to come back and supporters will be looking forward to giving them a send-off for what they did for Liverpool,” Carragher was quoted as saying in the Liverpool Echo.

The charity game will be played on March 29. Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher will captain the two sides involved.

Kuyt scored 71 goals in 285 matches for Liverpool and became a fan favourite during his time in England.

The Netherlands international played in the the 2006-07 Champions League final, was runner up in the 2008-09 Premier League title race and won the 2011-12 League Cup with the Reds.

Carragher Select XI : Pepe Reina, Martin Kelly, Jamie Carragher, Alvaro Arbeloa, Luis Garcia, Raul Meireles, Jonjo Shelvey, Craig Noone, Dirk Kuyt, Didier Drogba, Craig Bellamy.
