Trabzonspor midfielder Mehmet Ekici scored his fourth free-kick of the season in the Süper Lig game against Karabükspor.

The 24-year-old has earned a reputation as a set-piece master but underlined that his team have also played a key role in his free-kick success rate.
“My teammates play a big role in the set-piece goals, just look at the last goal, they made to space for me in the wall and shut off the keepers line of sight,” Ekici told Lig Tv after the game.
“It was all planned and I executed the shot well, we work very hard at set-pieces, I train at improving set-pieces every day.”
Ekici is the highest rated player in the Süper Lig according to Whoscored.
The 24-year-old first made a name for himself as a hot talent while developing at the Bayern Munich youth academy.
The German giants loaned him out to 1 FC. Nuremberg in 2010 a one year agreement and he was signed by Werder Bremen the following season.
Ekici joined Trabzonspor for £1.3 million this summer on a four-year deal and has established himself as a key member of Ersun Yanal’s side.
The Black Sea Storm have scored the highest number of goals from set-pieces in the league this season.
Trabzonspor have 17 set-piece goals this season, Galatasaray and Mersin have the joint second highest goals from set-pieces (13).
