Rizespor manager Hikmet Karaman rues missed chances
Caykur Rizespor manager Hikmet Karaman has stated that his side were made to pay for chances they missed in the first half of his sides 1-1 draw with Konyaspor.
“We got into a number of goalscoring positions in the first half and scored a goal. We should have scored more,” Karaman stated.
“Our performance dipped in the second half. We needed to take our chances.
“We wanted to win this game but a draw isn’t a bad result against a strong side.”
Karaman also spoke about his side losing players to the Africa Cup of Nations.
“We have three players who will leave for the Africa Cup of Nations.
“Ali Adnan is set to leave and so is Kweukea and Oboabona. Murat Duruer has suffered a long term injury.
“We need team players, not big names. I know what we need to do over the winter break.”
